Event Registration

Tickets sales are happening on a tiered basis and there are limited amounts at each level so don't delay!! But before you do, please read the following important information:

  • You must be 18 years of age or older.

  • You MUST register under your legal name. A government issued photo ID that matches the legal name under which you registered must be presented at registration as proof of age in order to be admitted to RAK. For example, if your name on your legal ID is “James Smith,” you must register for RAK as “James Smith” – not “J. Smith” or “J.A. Smith” or “Jim Smith” or “Sir Jim.” This information will be used only for identification verification at registration.

  • You will be required to sign a release and waiver at registration, using the legal name under which you registered.

  • You will be required to have an event wristband placed on your wrist at the time of registration, which must be worn all weekend. (We use non-latex Tyvek wristbands.)

  • In order to attend any RAK activities, including the play parties, you must check in at the on-site Registration Desk. The Registration Desk will be open the following hours:

  • Friday, February 14 from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm

  • Saturday, February 15 from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

  • Sunday, February 16 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

  • We will not be able to extend the hours of the Registration Desk or reopen the Registration Desk to accommodate late arrivals. Also, we will not be able to check in attendees at the door of the play parties. Please keep this schedule in mind as you make your travel plans.

  • There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to these policies. Please do not ask.

  • Alcohol is permitted during Friday's event ONLY. Please drink responsibly. Anyone who is suspected of intoxication or similarly impaired at any time during the weekend, other than Friday night, shall be removed from the event without compensation.

Hotel Information

Our host hotel is the Days Inn South in Calgary, Alberta. Standard rooms are at an amazing rate of $80 per night and suites are $109 per night (plus taxes). Please note, the suites are accessible by stairs only. Additional information on how to book a room at these rates will be provided to registered attendees of the event. All rooms booked under our name help us negotiate our rates with the hotel, so we can keep RAK affordable.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to meet people! Try it! You'll like it!

We are doing a tier system for volunteering. Once Tier 3 tickets go on sale, you will be able to register as a volunteer. There are limited spaces at each level

Level 1: For 6 hrs of volunteer time - 10% discount

Level 2: For 8 hrs of volunteer time - 15% discount

Level 3: For 15 hrs of volunteer time - 20% discount

Level 4: For 20 hrs of volunteer time - 40% discount


Your volunteer hours will not be completed in a solid block of time to allow you to enjoy your time at the event. We’re looking for volunteers for the following areas during the event weekend (and more):

  • DM Crew for Saturday and Sunday night parties (must have prior experience)

  • Security  

  • Medical Team (doctors, nurses, paramedics and EMTs)

  • ASL Interpreters

  • Ushers for evening entertainment

  • General runners

  • Workshop Monitors (for Saturday and Sunday workshops)

  • Set-up and Tear-down Crew

  • And more!!

Refund Policy

All requests for refunds must be made in writing and sent to infoRAK@Gmail.com. Please include in your request the legal name under which you registered.

  • For requests received on or before December 18, 2020, a refund of registration and other fees, minus a 20% processing charge, will be issued.

  • For requests received from December 19, 2020 through January 15, 2020 a refund of 50% of registration and other fees will be issued;

  • No refunds will be given after January 15, 2020 for any reason.

  • You may transfer a registration to another person before February 1, 2020. Please contact infoRAK@Gmail.com for more details.

  • RAK cannot be responsible for illness, Acts of God, or other events that may preclude your attendance at the event. Under all circumstances, RAKs will refund fees paid in accordance with the Refund Policy outlined above.
